South East

The South East England Region covers the counties of
East and West Sussex, Kent and Surrey
SOUTH EAST ENGLAND Blue Badge Tourist Guides are trained and examined in writing and practically - on foot, on site and on coaches - for the whole region.

Canterbury City Guides are examined in writing and practically on foot and on site for the City of Canterbury.

The South East of England – garrison in war, gateway in peace. Invaded by the Romans, Vikings and William the Conqueror and the birthplace of England’s Royal Navy; the nation’s history is rooted deep in this region. Visitors will find a warm welcome and a legacy of Roman fortifications and villas, fine stately homes, castles, cathedrals and stunning gardens. With our mild climate we are a major wine growing region.
Holmbury St Mary, Surrey

The cradle of Christian tradition, the region’s four cathedral towns include the two oldest cathedrals in England. Churchill, Charles Dickens, Rudyard Kipling, the Bloomsbury set and others have made their homes here. Discover Chatham’s Historic Dockyard, the Cinque Ports, the myriad of charming villages and towns from buzzing Brighton to the spa town of Tunbridge Wells. A region of beautiful landscapes from the ‘whalebacked’ chalk downs of Sussex, the ‘little Switzerland’ of Surrey’s hills to the orchards of Kent – traditionally known as the Garden of England. Discover the tranquil countryside through an unsurpassed network of footpaths. Enjoy a diverse coastline from the chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters to the sandy beaches of Kent.

Whatever your interest, there is a SEETGA guide willing to help.
