Calling London Lovers!
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 February 2007 is The Blue Badge Guide Walking Weekend
We Blue Badge guides donate our services free, to passionate London-lovers.
We put on eight free walking tours, each day, around and through Central London.
Each of the walks starts on the hour, 11.00 through to 15.00, on both Saturday and Sunday, 17th and 18th February 2007.
To make it easy for walkers, our start points are generally main line or central tube stations. This means, conveniently, that our walks cover some of the most juicy parts of London. . . eg
- Victoria Station to Waterloo Station,
- Waterloo to London Bridge,
- London Bridge to Liverpool Street,
- Liverpool Street to St Pauls Cathedral,
- St Pauls to King Cross,
- Kings Cross to Holborn,
- Holborn to Leicester Square,
- Leicester Square to Victoria.
The Walking Weekend is our local London response to an international event - International Tourist Guide Day. All over the planet our guiding colleagues will be offering their skills for free to build awareness and appreciation of people's localities, and to demonstrate our guiding skills.
Check out the London Walking Weekend web site and choose a route you would most enjoy.
Why not do more than one? Make a weekend of it - the Blue Badge Guide Walking Weekend, no less.
