EAST OF ENGLAND Blue Badge Tourist Guides
East of England Blue Badge Tourist Guides are qualified to guide throughout the region. They will have first gained a qualification in one of the following towns/cities: Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Colchester, Ely, Ipswich, Norwich or St Albans |
The region covers a varied landscape from the Chiltern Hills in the West to the unique Cambridgeshire fens, the Norfolk Broads and the pretty, rolling Suffolk countryside. Among English landscape artists John Constable and Thomas Gainsborough were inspired by their native scenery. The historic market towns and cities offer as much variety: the fine cathedrals at Norwich and Ely, the half-timbered medieval “wool towns” of Suffolk, such as Lavenham, the picturesque Abbey ruins at Bury St Edmunds and the historic waterfront at Ipswich. Add to this the Roman heritage of St Albans and Colchester and the ancient colleges of Cambridge University. All these can be brought to life by our knowledgeable tourist guides listed below.
